Have you ever thought "Why are we doing all this mowing?" I sure have, and then I started reading...


• Most of the gas engine air pollution in America is from LAWNMOWERS! Imagine.
• And.. we're in an endless loop... fertilize, mow, fertilize, mow....
• Poison the weeds too. You need to because of the mowing which destroyed natural growth in the first place. And because we planted something (Kentucky Bluegrass, fer instance), which is non-native and subject to invasion by ANYTHING.
• Imagine the time people spend going back & forth on mowers. Surely we have something better to do with our time.
• Every time I see acres of mowed lawns around homes and businesses I can't help but thinking of the cost in equipment, time, materials spent.
• We could be growing food.
